What Our Clients Say
Stephanie Schweinfurth
My wife and I have been using Optimove for the past five years and I cannot say enough good things about the service. In 2018 my wife had spinal surgery with was less than successful. She started once weekly with Optimove because Dr. Guild was highly recommended and the service is available at home. Jeffrey Guild and Peter Langlois and their team have literally kept her moving and the benefits are more than physical. They now train her twice weekly. I started with Optimove once weekly this year for posture, balance and general wellness; I’m 90. They are far more than physical therapists; Peter, for example, is more involved than any therapist I’ve used in the past. I believe Optimove has been a major factor in keeping us both healthy and mobile.
Fourteen months ago (6/2018) my wife, who was 80, had spinal surgery which turned out badly. For many months she was barely able to walk, then only with assistance (a walker, a three-wheel rollator, a cane or my hand) and with impaired confidence in her own ability to recover. We started once a week at home with Dr. Guild four months ago; in our second session he and she walked the length of a football field over uneven terrain (flagstone, grass, curbs, asphalt) and I was amazed. We have since gone to twice weekly sessions. My wife is no longer using a walker or a cane (though I carry one just in case) and she can navigate freely, if carefully, both indoors and out (over curbs, for example, or on public sidewalks) and socially. She has set goals for the near term and for the more distant future and I believe we will either achieve them or benefit from trying and coming close. One result of Dr. Guild’s work has been to encourage her to do his exercises on her own which is very important to her physical and emotional wellbeing. Dr. Guild is very knowledgeable but also patient and understanding of his patient’s strengths and weaknesses. He has changed our outlook on life.
